Workload Policy Board
A joint project of UPE, Local 1 and County of Sacramento

The Sacramento County and UPE recognize that there are serious issues related to workload in DHHS and DHA. UPE and the County have established a joint Workload Policy Board for the purpose of improving communication and addressing workload concerns. This Board, known as the WPB, has developed Program Specific Workgroups that will be instrumental in achieving our mission. It is the intent of both parties that any changes that impact workload will be reviewed by the Program Specific or Integrated workgroups.

OUR MISSION:

  • Recognize that changes to policies and procedures can have a direct impact on workload.
  • Analyze and evaluate these policies and procedures for their specific impact on workload by program.
  • Analyze recommended strategies for implementation of policy and procedure changes to mitigate workload impact.
  • Evaluate necessity for change by considering benefits versus adverse consequences of the change
